We parked at the far end car park next to the tents and caravans, not a bad spot really a shuttle bus to drop off point every 5 mins.
Got some nice photos as the aircraft came in to line up for the display from the car park too, set off a little early due to work commitments that night no problems getting out or on roads.:D
Does anyone know the prices to take your tent or caravan/motorhome to the event?, is there many spaces?
I saw the mechanic working at the back of the engine area got a few nice photo’s of that and the panels on the floor.:D
If participants drop out hours before they are are due to fly – what exactly do you expect the organisers to fill the schedule with?……….. I personally think the flying desk did a fantastic job of shuffling the schedule!!!!
Between 10-12ish there was a delay and it was noticable, ok the guy on the mike did appologise enough times and yes fair enough it was windy, but wouldn’t it be ok to shove the same display up twice? As they knew the night before they must have known aircraft would pull out this is a proffesional show and to fill it with something else should have been done.
How much of a win to put it back in the air?
Cross wind at base unable to take off and didn’t make it to waddington.
People were still swimming and surfing in the ocean as a Coast Guard vessel made its way to the wreckage.
Unbeliveable a burning aircraft and there surfing close by!
Thanks nice pics………..
Should the vulcan have any more problems this might be of use to some…
All that floating seamen……………………….splat on your own tounge:D
Are these the things you have to do now to flog this magazine.

Not my best photo, but proves I was there 🙂
Lets hope i see that same picture on sunday flying……………………
At the moment it is in my workshop draining! 65 years of water seeping into it is gradually emptying now it has finally returned to the horizontal. Also the oil lines have ruptured near the front, where part of the sump is missing, so I am trying to catch the oil before it ends up all over the floor as well! I am removing the larger lumps of clay by hand, but a power washer will be involved soon – No stiff brushes or harsh direct jetting as it still retains 99% of it original painted finish and I intend to keep it that way. Then I suspect it will be many evenings of picking out any remaining clay with wooden picks and old toothbrushes, a bit of selective careful dismantling to ensure no clay or water remains in any cavities. I intend to use microcrystalline wax to inhibit the bright parts such as nuts and bolt heads against corrosion and protect the painted finish.
Once you have given it a good clean then what?
Strip it and repair it to a static runner or a full rebuild or just leave it as is?
A 203kg man who says he was thrown off a flight for being too fat has missed the chance to say goodbye to his dying aunt
What did they use to throw him off…………………….?
On my Ham radio set i have a device that splits from vhf to uhf, you screw both antennas into it and it switches over when you use which ever band.
Why not just use a discone?
I use a ham band vhf antenna for listening to the air band it works perfect even though it’s designed for 144mhz the air band stops at 137, i also use it to listen at 220mhz military it works there too.
Just another thing for best results get this antenna outside on a pole off the chimney, Or the wall the range you will receive will be further it’s line of sight.
Yes, there are a certain number of BSP threads but there are more which are very fine instead, these are the non-standard type.
Pete
Are these bsp threads the same as you find on hydraulic and air fittings?
