Great pictures and good to see what damage is done when it impacts the surface something you may not realise after 65 years at the bottom of the sea with nowt left.;)
On June 12, around 15:00, a Focke-Wulf 190, German fighter aircraft dating from the 2nd World War, crashed in the Bay of Hyeres, 150 meters from the coast.
The pilot, a French of sixty years, was unhurt. He joined the beach with jet ski that came immediately to rescue him. He was later recovered by firefighters from Marine-BAN Hyères.
means the zone: the police helicopter, helicopter Dauphin public service of the Navy, the Coast Guard’s flagship, flagship of the S NAS Hyères.
The pilot had practiced in the context of the meeting of the Centennial of Naval Aviation. The drives on the NAS Hyères have been temporarily discontinued.
Translated with thanks to google, a jet ski came to the rescue so he may have not had to swim too far.
