Anyone in mind Steve?
OK guys I suppose I should pay you all a compliment…
Why are men better than cats? Men only pee on the carpet in the bathroom.
OK then,
What’s pink, six inches long and drives a woman wild?
A ten pound note!

Fergy/Box Brownie
I was (as I said above) really sorry I missed this event.
Apart from the Mohawk and the Demon what else was there on show in the way of Skysport projects?
Got any pictures of them?
I’ve always imagined that place to be an Aladdins cave of old airframes and projects.
Cheers
Andy
See thats the trouble isn’t it, us men have to put their foot down right from the start and show the wives / potential wives who’s boss, my missus lets me do anything, I play cricket 3 times a week, football twice a week, football & cricket training, play snooker in a league, 4hrs a day study for my ATPLs, (the list goes on), she just gave birth to our second child last Thurs (14th) and I played cricket all day Sat & all morning on Sunday, bless her, she knows which side the bread is buttered, En380 has only got himself to blame :p
Mr Deano777 current resides under some railway arches near Temple Meads station.
He’ll be allowed back home on Sept 15th.

I Was fortunate enough to be part of one of the most pleasent Air Displays I’ve been to in many years yesterday. Walney Island in Barrow in Furness. Sorry I haven’t got any pictures.
It was only after we arrived in the Spitfire we discovered we were the first Spitfire to land at Walney since 1945.
It was the kind of air display where all the egoes and heros had been left at home.
The participants list was quite impresive to say it was the first display they’ve put on.Grace Spitfire – ML407.
Welsh Two seat Spitfire.
PL965.
Hurricane Mk XII
Magister.
Maurice Hamond & Rob Davis – In Janie and the Doll.
John Taylor in his Extra.
Beech 18
Barry Tempest in the Skybolt
Catalina
BBMF
Hunter
Hawk
FalconsRichard Grace in his Cassut Racer and Dave Puleston in his Pitts were in the static park
It was the kind of Airshow that has almost become extinct, ie, close and friendly with a stunning back drop of the bay and hills in the distance.
I know this may not be your cup of tea, but I’m sick of reading how world beating Flying Fagends is, well, If they have a display at Walney next year and I get the oppertunity to go, I will go without a doubt.
I have a strange feeling there was a chap from “Flypast” there as well.
AF
AF,
I’m glad you had a great day out.
These little local airshows hold much greater appeal than the annual shove-fest at Duxford.
I bet the numpty level in the crowd was low too.
Cheers

That’s Joseph Porter, not Joseph Porta? Now that’s a literary character you don’t want to be related to…
(for all the Sven Hassel-fans out there!)
Yes, but Joseph Porta was a better cook.
(Yes, I read them too 🙂 😉 🙂 )

Snaps,
thanks for posting and I’m glad you had a good time.
The atmosphere at OW on a Saturday is very special indeed.
I’m glad you and your husband could be a part of that.
Cheers

In a couple of hours time, I head off down the M6 to catch the early morning arrivals at LHR, then plan on spending all day plane spotting at aforementioned airport, then a full day showing the kids the sights in the center of London on Saturday, before heading back up the M6, tired but happy, with two fingers stuck up to the terrorists!
Nothing and no one is going to spoil this family trip away (oh ok, could do without it raining!)
Go Girl!!!
Try and find somewhere to get an ice cream for under £7.00!

I have a couple of Muslim colleagues (one of whom I had lunch with today) who have been feeling the ‘heat’ of of the backlash.
They feel scared twice, once because they often commute into London and twice because they’re taking ‘stick’ from the ignorant.
Perhaps I’m naive but seems to me to be a nasty situation to be in.
As I said previously–Oh for a peaceful World.

Grey Area,
am aware of Abu Hamza currently being held in jail but no doubt there are others like him willing to continue spreading hate messages both here and abroad.
Steve,
for racist read realist – we all know that the vast majority of UK and worldwide muslims condemn and deplored these acts, yet the fact remains that they were muslims rather than any other religion.
And your ‘cure’ for this is???
