I read he played an RAF pilot in ‘A way to the Stars’…never heard of it…any good?
M
Yes, it was very good.
Not much flying but a story about a pub, an airfield and the different Yanks and Brits that flew from it.
A bit dated now but well worth a look.
Cheers
Andy
Very doubtful. For one thing they are probably too old and copyright has expiredor there would have to be documentary proof of their transfer from the original owner to the Shuttleworth.
Dear Sailors Friend.
Stop getting picky–You Tart.
That’s what OW needs.
A H-P 0/400.
Well the Vimy looked good there.
Excellent stuff Kev.
Thanks for posting the pictures.

James
thanks for the kind words about grey paint.
You’re right, the Drover is a bit special.
Thanks for posting.
Cheers
Andy.
PS. Do you still take your steam powered Ricoh to airshows?
Very sad, hopefully Elly will overcome this hurdle like she has all the rest.
Martin,
very nice.
anyone would think you might have a soft spot for that Ryan.
Well done.
Andy
Dan,
please scan in as soon as you can.
Looking forward to them.
Andy
Ladies, Gentelemen, please chill.
As already stated Frank.
I will, when I get an apology from the person in question for him calling me a liar.
He might even find that I’m willing as I stated to him the other night that I might go some way to make amends too.
So far the silence from the person in question is deafening.
Oh and Erin,
as to your signature line.
I offered to come to an arrangement with Flood the other night.
In return I was offered more personal abuse. I think he called me liar.
I actually said that I may have been out of line in the past and if he apologised over wrongly accusing me of being S.Vaspic. I’d make amends about some of the things said by myself in the past.
He rejected this and decided (with much glee) to insist again that I was a liar.
Now I have Frank E-mailing me telling me how sorry he is.
Does Flood always get others to apologise on his behalf?
If you disbelieve me, why don’t you ask him.
Cheers
Andy
Ask the other moderators.
I’ve already had an apology on this matter from Frank, I still await a second more important apology.
I’ve retained all correspondence from moderators and copied in relevant people.
Have you any involvement in this that’s relevant??
and we will attempt to the best of our abilities to separate our posting and our moderating.
Moggy
Hi Moggy.
The above is a very laudable statement.
However, you and I both know that in recent times certain moderators have slipped far away from this ideal.
With witch-hunts, accusations made, people found guilty until proved innocent, personal insults handed out and people forced to defend their good name.
All carried out because one moderator in particular has his own agenda.
If the person in question had one single strand of dignity he’d offer to resign.
As things stand he hasn’t even got the spine to apologise.
Dismal is all I can.

Andy…
I wonder what could have been done with all the money HMG has poured into BMC, British Leyland, BL , Rover and what-ever else this lot has been called over the years.
Sadly I think the end is here.
It probably hasn’t been a really viable concern since the seventies (maybe even earlier).
The whole sorry story over thirty (plus) years has been one of Government meddling, weak management, poor labour relations, low productivity, Union problems, need I say more?
Britain at it’s incompetent best.
Very sad.

Andy
Absolutely.
Took me about six months to get rid of the weight I gained during two weeks in the States.
Moggy 😀
I just gain weight whenever I go and it never shifts–I just gain more the next time I go!!!!–and so on and so on!!!
Hi, ive just booked some tickets to New York for the 24th May- 21 June. We plan to go in a generally anti clockwise direction around the US with a week and a half stop in the Phoenix area.
Anyone know of any Aviation places of interest in the Phoenix area, I know of the CAF wing there and shall visit that, and also in the following places;
New York,
Washington,
Nashville,
Memphis,
New Orleans,
Dallas,
San Fransisco,
Chicago,
Detroit,
Toronto,
Montreal,
Ottawa.places close to City centres are preffered as the only time we shall rent a car is in Phoenix. The NASM and CAF Mesa are the only ones firmly on my list.
any help/pictures are greatly appreciated.
Steve
ps- sorry Pete, I think Nanton will be too far out of the way.
Steve
my initial impression is that you’re being a bit ambitious with your list of places you want to visit. Even in four weeks you’ll be hard pushed to see all of those and you’ll only scratch the surface of any of those places that you list if you try and do all of them.
Do you propse flying between all those locations? You’ll need to to get round them and even then you’ll spend a lot of time on aircraft and in airports.
I’ be inclined to decide East Coast or West Coast and maybe an optional side trip to Canada–maybe a flight home from there.
Mrs Aib and I once spent a couple of weeks progressing up the Eastern seaboard by car, stopping off and seeing places and things and people along the way. We dumped the hire car at Boston airport and flew up to Toronto for a few extra days at the end.
Hope this helps
Andy
