Blenheim.
Years ago.
When the Blenheim flew for the first time (the one written off a Denham) I was talking to a bloke at OW who was so insistent that it hadn’t yet flown that he told me with a straight face (and total conviction) that what I’d seen the week before at Duxford was a Beech 18!!!
This was before the days of instant information.
I sometimes wonder if he’s among us here now.
If you are that person, you still don’t know how close you came to a smack in the mouth that day.

Vampire??
Steve
now you’ve got me wondering if it was a Vampire.
It seems so long ago.
We never stopped to look at this aircraft I just remember seeing it there by the road.
Perhaps my memory is wrong and it was a Vampire.
Anyone??–any thoughts?

Meteor NF 14.
Hi all
I’ll hang this on the back of this existing thread.
When I was a kid there used to be a Meteor a NF 14 (I think) in the grounds of Knebworth House that was used by the local ATC. This would have been early to mid seventies. As you drove northbound on the A1M it was just visible in a clearing in some trees for a few seconds. Could someone tell me what happened to this aircraft and if it was a Meteor 14 or something else.
Thanks in advance
Andy

I wish you would reconsider leaving the Forum.
This forum has a good reputation and everytime someone walks away it’s a collective loss.
The majority of people here appreciate and read what you have to say.

Names..
Planejunky
don’t you just love the way politicians give quaint names to these things like ‘Options For Change’.
When what they really mean is sacking some poor b*st*rd.
Hope you got your life re-sorted after 93.

yes that’s the kiddy.
There’s a picture of MX-F at the top of page 100 and next to it is a picture of Lt Ron Brown who was the aircraft’s regular pilot.
Hope this helps
