    Pete,
I’ve uploaded the images to Photobucket, and I’ve just pasted the addresses above, but they don’t seem to work.
I must be doing it wrong….

You need to copy and paste the “IMG” file, from the picture to here.

I wouldn’t be so brave as to try 🙂

I don’t think you will be alone.

As this is a relatively new lens out, perhaps nobody here has experience of it yet ?

How about Tamron lenses in general, what do people think ?

I know this is opening a ‘can of worms’ but I do fear MOD bean counters thinking ‘Well we got rid of that liability now what else?’ Perhaps casting their thoughts towards the BBMF?
    mmitch.

Yes that would be a can of worms, and maybe a little too much thread drift to discuss here.
It was talked about on another thread, and I am sure someone will post the link 🙂

Sad to see him go. Another one of those actors who seems to have been around for ever.
He didn’t seem to mind being type-cast in the role of Spock.

Nice pics of the Spitfire. Does it represent the aircraft of any particular pilot ? (I’m not well up on these things)

I find that I can avoid wading past the ‘stickies’ by using ‘new posts’ (not ‘What’s new) on the upper selection bar rather than selecting a particular forum section.

That’s the only method I have ever used. Works for me.

Heading up to see my Dad on Wednesday, we had an RAF C-130 pass in front of us at very low level.
Halfway between Sudbury and Bury, at 10:15am.

    Interesting stuff.

So anything up to 8 cubic metres can be replicated. Wow !

I should have said, what is the largest “single component” which can be printed ?

3D printer not that outrageous, The Vintage Aviator makes use of them for some activities (not the actual end component, obviously!).

What is the largest item that can be 3D printed ?

For those who are interested, Mark12’s images of 1950’s Halton are now over on WIX.

On the one hand, it’s sad to see all of those aircraft being scrapped or left to rot, but what else could they have done
with them ? Without the gift of foresight .
