I wonder if The US go in for as much hand wringing as many do in this country, over the bombing ?

The rights and wrongs of these raids will rumble on for decades.

It is said though, that the figures for the number of people killed were hugely over estimated.
The more likely figure being around 18,000 and definitely no more than 25,000.
Still a lot, but I doubt any of those who were on the receiving end of German bombs in London, Coventry etc, shed any tears
for those in Dresden.

There was only one man to blame………. Hitler.

That brought to mind this story:

It sounds very similar to the 1947 BSAA Avro Lancastrian Star Dust accident, which wasn’t discovered for 50yrs.

You just need to go into the shop from a position of strength. Knowing your rights, and their obligations.

Speaking from personal experience, I have only used Currys/PcWorld once. Last year I rang to get some info on a
Nikon camera and lens, info I couldn’t get online. I was persuaded to buy them there and then on the phone, with next
day delivery. They arrived as promised, and touch wood worked fine.
