Some heavy weather up there at the moment, looks like she’s descending to get under it ?
Back on FR24
Oh dear, doesn’t sound good.
It’s just that nobody is picking it up on their systems, due to it’s height.(as Mr Merry said 🙂 )
Next view will probably be as it descends over Iceland.
You’ll need a good camera, they are approaching 5,000ft
How far are the BBMF going with her. The Spitfire disappeared on Flight Radar pretty quickly.
Such a shame that the Red Arrows are out of the country, did they get to fly together ?
Two Lancasters about to take off, with two Spitfires and two Hurricanes.
Running about 15mins late.
Listen to her departure live on Radio Lincoln. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_lincolnshire
I’m shocked and disappointed by this. The repair bill as I understand it includes “rental” by the hour of the replacement engine from MoD. surely the UK govt. can write off £100,000 (C$180,000) as a gesture of good will.
You would certainly hope so, if indeed that is the case ?
It would be interesting to know how much has been taken in donations ?
What a magnificent gesture.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see one or two people around Coningsby tomorrow, to see her off.
They were saying on the news earlier, that the Lincolnshire’s Lancaster Association, have donated $C 10,000
towards engine repairs. Well done them :eagerness:
Great videos and pictures.
What an absolutely fantastic couple of months it’s been.
The BBMF and CWH have bent over backwards in trying to get as many people as possible to see them flying together.
Lets not forget the engineers and people selling their merchandise, as well as those who helped in the engine change.
The people who tend to be forgotten are Thwaites, as without them none of this would probably have happened.
I bet there will be a big crowd at Coningsby on Tuesday to see them off. I hope the RAF lay on something special.
There wont be a dry eye in the house.
“Blades” flew overhead Rayleigh Weir at 15:45, for landing at Southend
It’s probably only politicians and those in the public eye who may want to avoid the question.
Personally I have no problem with it. If a form ask my religion, I enter … None.
Nobody has to “Swear by Almighty God” in court.
