What a lovely sound.
It reminded me that I have an LP in my record collection, narrated by Douglas Bader.
It came out at the 50th Anniversary of the RAF, and has the sounds of a variety of RAF aircraft.

I can take or leave F1 nowadays. I usually record it on Sky+ and watch it at X12 speed.
They must have lost a lot of viewers since only a couple of the races are now shown live on the BBC.

I don’t expect that going back to the smaller engines and turbos will make a lot of difference.
It will still be the same few teams at the top.

Of course we don’t want to go back to the days when at least one driver was killed every year, but it’s just too safe now.
