School playgrounds have been hotbeds of phobic attitudes for decades – ginger tops, spectacle wearers, freckles, wimps, goodie goodies- the list goes on and children grow up. I have no doubt that there will always be homophobes as well as anti Semites, racists, etc.

I was talking to a friend the other day (he is for want of a better word, black skinned).
He rents a couple of properties out, and has recently had to have one of the tenants evicted.

He said to me that it’s the last time he has another black tenant !

I didn’t quite know what to say.

Regarding the Daly story, I can’t be the only one receiving texts and emails on the subject ? Some quite humorous, and
    not repeatable on here.

I deposited my old magazines at Stow Maries recently.

Flight Internationals, Flying Reviews, Air Pictorials etc. Many going back to the late 60s.

A number of old Observers books too.

I wonder if he “came out” as he knew it was going to be made public anyway ?

I can’t say I care much either way. He seems a nice enough young lad.
I’d never have guessed he was “that” way inclined, but my wife said she had strong suspicions.

It wouldn’t cost a great deal of money to set up some decent CCTV at the memorial.
What they have at the moment seems next to useless.

I do hope they don’t end up having to erect railings.

Looks like an expensive time. I hope it all goes well.

Would that be Operation Eldorado Canyon ? 🙂

As well as being used in Iraq.

How sad, he couldn’t have been that old.

The ‘cavegirl’ type from years back went on to Bergerac and recently Doc Martin. Hardly the trajectory Ms Mulligan will follow

    Moggy

That would be Leela (Louise Jameson). She did various things after Dr Who, including Tenko I believe, and maybe Eastenders ?

The Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode was very good and I suspect its success is quite embarrassing to the anti-BBC brigade. :highly_amused:

It wasn’t bad, but I found it difficult to follow at times. Why do the story lines have to be so complicated ?

My favourite episodes over the last few years have to be “Girl in the fireplace” and “click” both brilliant IMO.
