I can only speak of that test from 20 yrs ago, when if we had not a lot of work on, we could organise an impromtue Test at a local school. Most passed back then.

On our recent trip to the nuclear bunker at Kelvedon Hatch, I’m sure they said that those using it could survive there
    for three months.
The thing is, once they’d come out there wouldn’t be anything worth living for.
It would be everyone for themselves. Law and order would break down rapidly, food would be in short supply and armed soldiers everywhere.

Probably best to get as close as you could to one of the main targets.

It’s interesting to watch “Newswatch” on the BBC. A bit like “Points of View”, but just concerned with news output.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qjrk2

The people in charge of the news services at the BBC consider themselves omnipotent. Again and again, the same criticisms
will be aired by members of the public.
Again and again, the woman in charge will come on the programme and justify their actions. I have yet to hear her say
sorry, or that they have got anything wrong.

I prefer SKY news, but also like to watch a selection of the various news channels. It certainly can be an eye opener, with
lots of important stories the BBC never even mention.

A black two seat Hunter made two passes over Southend Airport, the first was down 24 with a pull up and a flight along the seafront she returned a little while later with a fast and low wing waggling pass before pulling up in to a rolling climb before heading north.

I’m told that it was at the request of ATC. Before it headed to North Weald.

The reason the school wasn’t mentioned much compared to the Shopping Centre is simple, no one in the UK media gives a hoot about a bunch of kids being killed because there were no British kids amongst them, now the Shopping Centre had Brits in abundance………….>>>>>>

    Cynical……. Moi?

That reminds me of an episode of Not the Nine O’clock news, where they did a sketch on this very subject.

Projects like the Aeroboat have the opportunity to use versions of the Merlin which are not required in the aviation world, such as very late marks used in early airliners for example.

    Pete

In a similar way that when Britannia engines were retired, they were used on hovercrafts .

G-FlIX was talking to Southend just before 6pm. Then via Wattisham, presumably back to Bentwaters. From Biggin Hill.
Maybe filming at Biggin Hill most of the day ?
