Thanks for reply.
I only ask as I believe the Canadian Lancaster uses passenger flights as a fund raiser. Something they also did here in 2014 ?

My memory of this event was shortly after at Bentwaters, where the RN Phantom that took part in the race appeared.
It did one of the most impressive low level displays I’ve ever seen. One that would never be allowed today.

Nice photos.

I must admit though, that the Paddington Bear phenomenon, somehow passed me by.
By the time he became popular I would have been a little too old, and by the time he appeared on TV, a lot too old.

On our only visit to Cosford some years ago, we found the staff very helpful and friendly.

Yes I have used post image, and it’s fine for the odd image upload. I have now gone over to Flickr for albums.
I don’t particularly like it, but it seems to work reasonably well.

Thanks for the extra info. I read somewhere else that he was in the RAF in 1917, I assume they meant the RFC.
The names of his wife and parents are listed, but little else.
Apparently that cemetery had 2000 burials, but only a handful of headstones remain. Although I expect many didn’t have headstones.

A slightly different challenge this time. A headstone seen on a video.
“Leading Aircraftman T H Lovett”, so unlikely to be a flying incident.

He actually died at the hospital and was buried in the hospital cemetery.

Is the red Hunter the one I saw at either Colerne or Chivenor back in the mid-60’s

You can’t beat a bit of Bokeh.

Nice set of photos. I recently bought the Tamron 18-400 ultra zoom. It’s a brilliant go anywhere lens.

If a bird strike can bring down a B1, I reckon they could bring down most aircraft ?, assuming it was big enough.
