Saw what looked like a 727 disappearing into the clouds today, after having
just taken off from Southend today, at about 12:30pm.

When I used to get the park and ride from Lakenheath to the Mildenhall Air Fete,
the bus used to pass a house which had a hunter in the front garden.
Is it still there ?, and what was it’s history ?

I seem to remember it had a red white and blue colour scheme.

I’ll not pass judgement as to whether that is right or wrong.

I believe they also got some useful data during his jump. Which could be
useful for understanding how astronauts could be affected if they had to
escape from a vehicle.

It would have cost “peanuts” to fit an external antenna.

This reminded me very much of the experiments they did during the war,
in trying to blow up the U-Boat pens. When Joseph Kennedy Jnr was killed
during Operation Aphrodite.
