I use a Canon Powershot A1200 Jim. I think I might have been better off shooting in video mode, then grabbing a frame ?
I’ll know the next time.
Only taken with a compact camera but it’s didn’t come out too bad.
Managed to just get Hadleigh castle in the background, couldn’t avoid the farm machinery though.
Picture reduced in size for uploading to Photobucket.

I used to have lots of the old Dinky racing cars. Who can remember Cooper,
Vanwall etc. Then my dear mother gave them away to a relative’s child.
I was not best pleased. She used to give away a lot of the toys I looked
after. π‘

Shall have to try and get down to Hadleigh Castle for some pictures. Any idea when it is getting to Southend in the morning ?

As I said above, I have recovered very many of these over many years! Many associated with wrecks. Many not.
!
I wasn’t questioning your expertise on the subject Andy π
Thanks for the IDs Moggy
I also have the fuse head from a WWI AA shell, but that’s another story. π

I agree with the opinion that itβs corrosion. Try squeezing one between your fingers; itβll crumble like chocolate!
I know what you mean, but these are pretty solid.

Can we see the head stamps please?

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but it is on the same subject.
This is the best I could do under artificial light. These are the two most legible ones. There are no nicks on the rims.
