I know they are very experienced pilots, but it still worries me when I see
aircraft such as these flying so close to each other.

I have vague recollections of going to an airshow at Bassingbourn in the mid to late 70’s (?)

I’ve had a word with a friend of mine who repairs and restores old radios. He’s restored a number of radios with bakelite cases.

With scratches and other small surface blemishes, he uses 1000g wet n’ dry with plenty of water, over a larger area than the scratch.
Then polishes with T-cut or even better Baco Polish which gives a lovely finish.

Filling chips is a bit more of a problem, but he has got away with using Araldite resin, mixed with some black paint. It’s one of those things you would need to experiment with.

First time I’ve seen those Seafires with the contra rotating prop.

I’d love to see one flying.

I suppose I shall have to take the wife to see them.
I also expect they’ll do the same as before. Bring out the 3hr version, followed by the four hour version some time afterwards ?

Doing the same with the DVDs.

I’ve found a number of .303 and 20mm shell cases while out metal detecting.
There’s no way of knowing where they came from.
