….. My wife (who is a woman), and who works in the insurance business (but not car insurance) has just pointed that insurance companies also age-discriminate, which is also illegal in the EU…

The age discrimination works against older drivers as well as young.

On balance I think the insurance companies get it right.

Be very careful with the cheaper quotes on Go Compare. …………….One was charging £30 to supply a certificate of insurance !

Which you only need if renewing your car tax at a post office ? It’s worth
    saving the £30

worst drivers ??? asian women !! get behind one , you’ll know

I agree, especially those driving Mercedes.

Before anyone plays the racial card to earn themselves brownie points, this is
    from personal observation.

Regarding my previous point, and asked as a general question not necessarily
    related to just this incident.

In aircraft where a pilot may be wearing a headset with full cup headphones,
are any warning tones audible ? ie. are they wired into the audio circuit, or
would they be loud enough to be heard over all other noises. Assuming the
    pilot has good hearing ?

Would he have heard the U/C warning tone, over the noise of the engine, and
    whilst wearing a headset ?

Although I was in Rayleigh ATC, and used to spend a lot of time at the airport,
I think I only went to the museum on a couple of occasions.

I remember seeing the Beverley flying in, over our house in Rayleigh. I think
the majority of the aircraft arrived under their own power.

If I may be allowed to “nit pick” for a moment.

There is no such thing as “Fully Comprehensive” or “Fully Com” insurance.
    It’s “Comprehensive”

    Carry on 🙂
