You can’t see the actual emplacements any more, but there are a few other visible signs. There is
a nice cafe there too, selling light snacks. It’s best avoided weekends and school holidays, as it can get very busy.
We normally park at the Sally Anne car park (Hadleigh Castle end) and walk through. Then again, if you are fit, you
can walk right through from Leigh.

From those pictures it look as if he didn’t have quite enough time to get the wheels down.
The starboard wing looks a bit second hand too. Still, they have the people to fix them.
Maybe as it’s only a very short trip, maybe they can transport it complete ?
Although saying that, even if they could lift it onto a low loader, how would they get it back into the airfield ?
They need the services of a passing Chinook.
