I’m all for equality, but I don’t see the sense in this.

I’ve found that the Shadows/Highlights feature in Photoshop can be very
useful in these situations. Used carefully of course.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned or not, but in his book
“Fly for your lives”, Stanford Tuck admits to shooting at a German airman
    coming down in his parachute.

As did a USAAF Mustang pilot in a TV documentary. After seeing the German
killing US airmen in their chutes.

Nope, thanks for the tip 😉

Where would be the best place to ask on that forum ? As I know there are those who take it personally
if you post something in the wrong place, and are very quick to telly you.

    The Aviodrome Constellation

Thanks for the picture. I was lucky to see it. I was just on my way to pick my
wife up from work when they called up Southend on the radio. I think they
were flying with a Lear Jet that was handling the comms. ?

It looks in lovely condition, does she still fly ?

Never been there, but it looks a fantastic place.
It must have been their Constellation which I saw do a low pass at Southend a few years ago, en-route to the museum ?

    What a great site.
I found this clip from 1928 while looking for something unrelated to aviation.

Perhaps they’ll have an Apache or two, parked at Stapleford ?

If using a point and shoot digital camera in auto mode, the colours will usually
tend to come out darker this time of the year, with the lower light levels.

I noticed this with my old Powershot. When taking pictures during the winter,
shots of the sea and sky would appear with really deep colours.
Try using manual mode, and play around with the exposure settings.
