Very nice. I only ever went to one Fighter Meet, and that was pre M11. When Four lightnings flew in formation.

Thought you’d been quiet Charlie, I hope all is well with you ?

I look forward to our first trip to DX in 2016.

Hopefully they can at least confirm the crash site, and erect a memorial.

    Just to update.

I’ve been using Lightroom for some while now, and have learnt a lot from watching a series of tutorials on Youtube.
It is very easy to overdo processing, but it can turn an otherwise pretty ordinary JPEG image, into something altogether
more presentable when shooting and processing a RAW image.
There will be those who argue that JPEG is fine, and that you should get it right in the camera. I doubt there’s a photograph
published, which hasn’t undergone some tweaking. Even going back to monochrome prints in the darkroom.

Pressing the shutter button is only half the job.

I don’t see how something like this can be designated a SAM ? It’s not a permanent structure.
The only way to preserve this wreck, is to remove it.

On the other hand, anything important will have been removed at the
time of the accident, or very soon after.( In the majority of cases).

What is left is scrap metal. As long as the site is recorded, do we really
need to get precious about people picking bits up ?

I was given a “Spitfire” calendar for Christmas, featuring pictures
by a certain Mr Whitworth. 🙂

Could just be the result of “freak” weather ?

Which seems to be happening more frequently.

Watching it on tv via apple tv, it doesn’t give subtitles.
Seems the only way to be able to view it with subtitles, is to watch it on the computer ?
    Unless anyone knows better ?

It will be interesting to see if they can come up with anything other than an educated guess.
