Nice Shots! Where were you stood when you got moved on?
Just looked at BA’s website and seen that there are two daily services… Isn’t it cutting it a bit fine considering there’s no backup aircraft? At £4,500 for the return ticket I’d be a bit miffed if I got a serious technical delay!
Also I notice the outbound service stops at SNN to clear US customs. Is this to do with aircraft range? It’s not a bad idea considering how awful immigration is at JFK!
How about Singapore? I’ve never been but it’s on my must-see list. And it’s obviously got the option of flying on the A380 if that floats your boat…
We’re getting ever closer to David Beckham London Manchester Airport
It is pretty craply sensationalist, isn’t it?
“the Senate is even considering a bill that would require airlines to evacuate passengers after three hours on the runway” … i think they mean taxiway…
“Want to save yourself hours of discomfort on the runway? Consider this list before you book your next flight” … the list is pretty much every domestic US carrier!!
Andrew
You should be able to work it all out from this:
Can’t be bothered to write out all the flights 🙂
Its not news worthy simply because it may show they are human after all…
Very interesting point… unfortunately I don’t think it’s the news networks seeking to blinker our view of iran, but actually the narrow minded view of the news watching public.
All too often after a plane crash the headline reads “5 britons feared dead in nigerian air crash”. Not even a mention of the 100 other black people who also lost their lives. Unfortunatly it’s true that headlines like this are more likely to grab the attention of the british (and indeed american) white middle and working classes.
I don’t agree with it, but there’s definately a sentiment that “if they’re not like us, it doesn’t matter”
Hi Dan,
Not sure why your picture isn’t showing, but anyone who wants to see it can do so by clicking here:

Do you get the American publication “Airliners” in the UK???…it’s a great mag with fascinating articles and a great pictorial
We do get it but when i’ve read it I always feel as though it looks like the articles written about the airlines were paid for by the airline. Rather than a balanced and informative review it always seems to come off as more of a publicity stunt. Could be wrong… just my feeling after reading a couple of articles about Air Tran and Monarch a couple of years ago.

Ooo the plastic pig moves!
I wonder if they will fly it on the 7th 0f August? (7/8/..geddit?)
I know they have talked about further delays but if they are taxing it they must be near to going flying.Rgds Cking
Didn’t they originally plan to roll it out on 7/08/07 or something??
I’m currently sat using one of the over-priced internet machines at Stansted airport and in less than an hour should be pushing back for my first FR flight in years to VLL.
If anyone else flew there, I would have booked with them… and once I land in VLL it is my intention never to fly with them again – so much so that I booked my flight back from XRY with a 3 hour stopover at BCN to fly with Vueling instead!
yea this is the Retro scheme
Mike
Celebrating what? It’s the only aircraft in the fleet to wear Cimber Sterling titles and is shown as the picture for the 737 on the airline’s own home page?
http://www.cimber.com/aboutcimber/flyflaade.html
Are we sure that this is a one-off and we won’t be seeing more 737s in this livery?
Nice shot but I’m really not sure about this new livery!
Looks more like a retrojet than a new colour scheme!!

The A330 is large, threfore is bigger than an elephant. So to the gutter press it’s a “Jumbo jet” It’s the same as any one who uses a computer is a “Computer nerd” Or any one who goes to church is a religious fanatic.
Virgin blue operate aeroplanes. They must be big. So they are “Jumbo jets”. Elephants sort of look like pigs and Virgin’s first big record was “Tubular bells” so if we have listened to Mike Oldfield we are all going to DIE!!!Rgds Cking

Great shots… what size lens do you use? I particularly like the first one
