Just tell them to ******* OFF ! Good for the soul !!;)

Interestingly enough, I’ve just been up there and watched peoples reactions, they mostly look at the floor and mumble, he is after all a big intimidating b#####d, he really does need a good kicking, might ruin his designer clothes though, then the great British public would really be in trouble.
I’ll have to hatch a cunning plan because I don’t see why I have to put up with this in my face every time I go shopping. Believe it or not the local police station is in the same car park and they are in and out of the store all the time in order to stuff their faces, which is all they do round here. He’s probably the local Chief Inspector.

Have you no sense of humour, I think we call this a bit of a mickey take.

The ‘poor’ I don’t like consists of the obnoxious git of dubious origin and broken English who tries to force copies of a certain magazine, BI, down your throat when you come out of Sainsbury’s in Braintree.
If you are really lucky, you bump into his partner in the shopping precinct doing the same thing, nicely attired in her dustbin sack.
What is wrong with this is that they have forced out a really genuine old boy who’s been around for years and was everybody’s mate.
I thought that threatening begging was a crime, which is really what this theoretically is, but they are allowed to get away with it of course, don’t want to upset anyone do we.

Oi Martin/Phantom Phixer – did you know Dinky made a model viscount in the colours of the sister ship of your aeroplane?! 🙂

    TT

Nice one TT, that clears that one up, I must have had the Maia/Mercury combination and swapped the lower half for what appears now to be a Junkers 89, I still have Mercury at least, I reckon they must have belonged to my brother when he was a kid, but he has a terrible memory. I also had the B-17, don’t know what happened to that, funny how you remember things, I recall jamming puffed wheat into a hole in the fuselage for use as bombs, except they wouldn’t come out.
Incidentally, a few years ago I did a survey in a barn that was full of treasures, after the owners had cleared it, I was allowed to take what was left, unfortunately not all the pre war Hornby train set, but the owner had been a notable script writer and ‘Erk’ in the RAF. I obtained some film scripts, various aircraft books and his RAF logbook. What was exciting was a mint Dinky box for a Short Singapore, unfortunately empty, I’ve been looking for one ever since.

It wouldnt have been a Sunderland mate – it would have been a Shorts Shetland – and yes – they’re worth a fortune now so it was a mistake! sorry!

    TT

Oh dear, worse than that, I have a small Dinky flying boat that was presumably the top part of the Miai, whatever, combination. I bet it was the bottom part of that.
Slash wrists and curl up in a foetal position.
When I was a kid, my mate had the most incredible collection of pre war Dinky a/c, not just one of each, but whole squadrons of spits, hurricanes, battles, blenheims, wellingtons etc, where are they now I wonder, I wish I’d swapped them for that bloody Ju-90.

Whats all the fuss about F-14 Tomcats, what was their relevance over here, to recall, 92 Mildenhall, 93 Fairford and a host at Normandy 94, apart from that…..
How about a good old Soviet Bison, I bet they flew up the east coast a few times, could be interesting trying to land one at DX, how about a swappsie for 558, we’ve plenty of Vulcans after all.
    I’ll get me coat……

I see that madam has been pardoned, but I thought that their government was powerless to act.
So… having made a press statement that sings the praises of their wonderful people and country, which I’m sure they are, given more than half a chance, does she come back here with the ethnic hit squad or stay and wait for the next mistake, which won’t be hard to make will it.
Perhaps a spell in Zimbabwe is next on the cards, or better still, Miramar, or Burma, or whatever it’s called now.
I wonder what they’ll talk about on the plane home, last nights ‘Antique Roadshow’, which had some wonderful Teddy Bears, Newcastles chances in the FA cup, who knows, another bloody grovel no doubt forced this result.

Has anything happened to the Jag that was moved from Coltishall to the Norfolk County Council Offices in Norwich.
I know that they considered the problem with vandals and that it was supposed to be protected with CCTV, I just wondered if the morons had tried anything.

You can’t replace a unique personality or voice like Freddy Mercury..imagine someone trying to replace John Lennon or George Harrison..it’s just a nonsense

Wow Steve, you’ve heard of him then, in which case I thought you might consider Tony Bennett as a good replacement, or better still, Andy Williams, he has a good vocal range and a lisp, though I think it has more to do with his false teeth nowadays.
I was watching ‘The Sky at Night’ on friday, it featured Dr Brian May watching meteors, it was really cool to see him sitting in a deck chair next to the almighty Sir Patrick Moore, which made me think, eccentric, can play the piano, good bet to lead a revamped Queen, what do you think.
I watched my fave TV programme last night, woo hoo, ‘The X Factor’
The choice of songs for these sad no-hopers were ‘Great British Classics’.
Well for those who were too ill at the thought of watching, the majority of songs performed were Queen classics, no doubt inspired by them having to wear red ribbons and the producers taking advantage of this.
It was the best laugh we’ve had for ages, inspired by such comments from the judges as, ‘Freddy would be looking down and be proud of your performance’.
No effing way, it was an insult to the blokes memory, he should have unleashed a thunderbolt and knocked this c### into the oblivion it deserves, no no we can’t do that, we have to see what the great British Public think, after all, despite the fact that everyone seems tone deaf, as muscisians ourselves, we must be wrong in deciding whats out of tune or not, thats our theory.

You’ve not seen a picture of her then?

    Moggy

Do ‘they’ know what a woman looks like anyway, it’s allegedly not allowed, depending on your interpretation of things, of course, so, be gratefull for small mercies, any port in a storm anyway, Moggy, preferences don’t always count here.

Incidentally, whats the distance from Baghdad to Khartoum.
I thought that the CIA might give a few of our ‘Special’ boys the day off and a few air refuelled CH-53’s, plus a bit of Tornado support for that added fear factor, I bet they’d relish the chance of a go at a police station, and more, I bet the Israelis would have a go if it was one of theirs.

I was interested to see who the Government have sent out to ‘negotiate’.
Do we have a life peer to suit every eventuality then, Scottish Presbytarians for trouble in Iona, perhaps parachuting Russian Orthodox peers, Zen Buddhists, or even supporters of the Dhali Llama, ready to be infiltrated into Tibet at a moments notice. This could be fun.

I just thought I’d remind you all of this long-standing site rule before people start getting carried away.

    Thanks

    GA

Fair enough, I accept that ‘they’ are allowed to insult and threaten and blow up our own society and beliefs, or lack of them, while we have to grin and bear it, doesn’t hold much hope for the future does it, this saga is just the tip of the iceberg and it won’t be over in 15 days either.
It doesn’t seem to be a problem to take the mickey out of the UK ‘Queen and countries’ religion by quoting chunks of Monty Python on here, I totally agree with that, it’s what we are all about, but you have to apply the same rules, so remove them please, don’t forget, us Christian Norman invaders are becoming an ethnic minority ourselves, we won’t be able to have a complaining voice at all at this rate of takeover.
I listened to a fantastic interview with the Archbishop of Canterbury on Jeremy Vine a few weeks ago, I’m not a religious person, but some of the things he said got me very worried, it came across to me that he was as concerned with the future of this ‘Christian’ country as most of us free thinking people are.
Religious persecution has gone on since the year dot, we thought that C of E v Catholiscm finished in the 17th century, but it carries on, not just in NI either, I thought that the Human Race would have sorted itself out by now, but it never will, there will always be something to have a war about.
