But the forum’s great, visitor numbers are increasing and we’re delighted – said Key a couple of years ago…
Key.Aero, which I literally have never visited, might be great. The forum’s like a morgue.
Duxford is cloud cuckoo land.
The Beverley is a HUGE aeroplane. Nowhere in the heritage sector has a hangar anywhere near large enough for it.
From memory it’s over 160 feet wingspan and something of the order of 40 feet high.
The trouble is, due to what appears to be greed on the part of the IWM, Legends isn’t at …
Yet another one with the same views, although my wife liked him.
However, certainly a loss to family and friends, and the French aviation community.
I had thought of something along those lines but I don’t think I would ever have remembered the aircraft name.
I’m puzzled.
The aircraft appear to have fin flashes.
The Fleet Air Arm don’t use fin flashes…
I guess the simple answer is – no chance.
I’ve got so used to thinking of it as Heathrow over many years I’d completely forgotten it used to be officially London Airport.
I agree. Despite being designed on the American “controlled crash” deck landing principle – but always into wind – I would have thought that a wider track, softly sprung, undercarriage would be more useful for a landing on grass, with infinitely variable wind direction, would be more suitable if all-weather operation was why they bought it in the first place.
I didn’t know that Shuttleworth had sold it, although it always seemed like a strange aircraft for them to buy.
My days are definitely over then.
Not so much the grub as I always stoked up before entry, but with two tickets, probably at least one overnight stay due to a journey of a couple of hours plus and advancing years, that’s a weeks’ pension gone with no guarantee it won’t be rained off.
Do I gather a smartphone is needed to buy tickets for Duxford airshows now?
Having said that, as I believe they’re still all advance tickets anyway, I’ve probably been to my last Duxford airshow.
They can get insurance against bad weather – I can’t.
As the post you’re replying to was his first and only post, sadly I very much suspect you’re going to be out of luck in waiting for a response.
It’s possible but not in this particular case.
I couldn’t get the text file – as I said 404 not found – but no trouble with the pdf.
Txt file doesn’t work for me either – 404 not found.
