Did i see a complete Heron on Fleabay a few months ago, for around £4000 ? Or had i eaten cheese before bedtime
Looks fantastic Bruce, must pop in and have a look.
I remember paint stripper called Ardrox 588 or something like that, we used it on Heralds having a major check at SEN, nasty stuff, gets the dirt off your hands, ( and skin ) glad to here they produced an alternative. 🙂

Thought it all looked a bit grim this morning, not historic, but anyone know if the Oasis 747 did its “display” ?
Work commitments kept me away today, but hopefully tomorrow things may 😎 inprove.
JT,
What`s Dunsfold like for access?
Often wondered as i do pass it at times, and wondered what security was like with camera weelding people such as myself? 😀 😀
Jamie
Popped in and had a peek the weekend. I did not realise there were so many Airframes at GAM, let alone the Engines, Instruments, and equipment inside the museum.
Well worth a visit.
Good luck with the project Bex.
Jamie
Great shots there Brian, can i ask which camera you have, and what settings you used to get those props looking good – mine are always stationary looking. 😮
Jamie
Well done Richard,
Where abouts was it in the end?
Jamie
Albert – And anyone else,
Just wondering if anyone had submitted their details to Gatwick Police, and have thay had any response.
I have only ever been moved on once at LGW, and never had too much of a problem, unlike SEN where Special Branch detained me for an hour or two – years ago:D 😀 with wife in tow, that went down well:mad:
This area does not get mentioned often, but if travelling by car, what about the Business Traveller Car Park areas? It runs along parallel 27R/10L with just one fence to look through. On the bad side its straight into the sun for daytime photos…..oh and i better mention the £18.00 a day parking fee.
Jamie
Excellent news Patrick, well done.
Good Luck REF !
I`m back that way this afternoon and have another look.
I think its a 300 series Manston, 340

I often wondered what happened to the ship after it was re-floated? – I seem to remember that it was on tow to somewhere like India (was that for scrapping or I hope not – refitting??) and did it break free on route or something??
It was refloated and renamed Flushing Range for its last and final journey to Alang in India, where it was scrapped i gather.

The two sister ships Pride & Spirit of Free Enterprise are still opeartional i believe.

The Book- Well of course i want one ! 😀
N103 – Shame to see her end that way, i remeber her being the first Carvair with BAF to be operated totally “paintless” freeing up some valuable payload i gather.
Denny T~ …Welcome Aboard 🙂
