Yes great pictures Richard, when i popped in there a few weeks ago i was treated to just Cessnas and Pipers, so you done well.
Popped into Boreham this morning on my way back from STN, and i cant see that memorial anywhere in the accessable areas. I have to say thats the first time i have been to Boreham in a number of years, and with the EP Air Support unit there, security is very tight, certainly more so than when Fords used it to develop new and “secret” desined cars.
There is another access road round the other side of the airfield, where the Police Staff car park is, and a security gate, my guess is that its probably the other side of the gate, and within the complex somewhere.
Unless anyone else knows different of course

Carvairmagic, Do a search on here for Southend, and have a trail through, theres loads of threads in relation to the museum, and some great pictures too.
RAFRochford, I`m sure i have Patricks email address somewhere, maybe give him the opertunity to reply, but i will do some digging and see if i can find it tonight and PM you.
Jamie
Welcome Carvairmagic,
Not sure where that model went. Was it the same one that used to be in the BAF Reservations office next to the terminal, that one was a cutaway type in BAF livery, with model cars and PAX on board 😀
If not i guess it was disposed of with most of the other items when the museum closed.
Thanks Albert, I didnt expect to see an MNA Vanguard again, or even a piece of it.
Hi REF,
This is the only one i have seen at Boreham.

Is the rock one definatly Boreham?
Conc`s progress yesterday at Brooklands.

Is that Faygate as in not too far from Gatwick?
I remember this disaster well, people we knew just two roads away lost their daughter-in-law in the tradgedy. At the time i lived just yards from the Southend Airport Eastern Boundry, as did the family concerned.
The twist in the tail is, within just a couple of months 40ft containers from the wreckage, all rusty and twisted were purchased by a company at SEN and stored on the Eastern Boundry, clearly visable from the main road. I dont know if the family ever knew where they come from. 🙁

Hi REF,
Taken around 7 hours ago 😀
Its located on the entrance road, just off Coggeshall Road ( B1024 ), on the otherside of the road from the Security Office.

The link below may work, fingers crossed.
Earls Colne
Earls Colne last mentioned nearly 2 years ago on this thread, has the memorial below which i noted as I popped in today. I have not been to Earls Colne for around 12 years, and everything was totally different, all the entrance roads and even hangers seemed to have changed. No trouble getting in though, everywhere seemed quite accessable, not that there was much worth looking at unless your a Cessna/Piper fan.
Does anyone know what the memorial prop is from?
Jamie

Down South too
Also at SEN a couple of weeks ago, anyone know why its in the UK?
Jamie

Dont forget Kids eat FREE on Tuesdays at Dennys 😀 Sorry getting off the thread now.
Did see today on Ebay 4GB CF £27.00 delivered to the UK from a US seller, thats got to be 800 snaps on my EOS 🙂

I was a bit shocked too, expected prices to be high in the Orlando Tourist traps, but Wal-Mart is currently more expensive than my local Asda`s !
With of course Asda being part of the Wal-Mart group:D
All this and the dollar rate being at a 14 year high
Oh well least unleaded was £1 a gallon :p
