Thanks for taking the time to read it, I know it needs a bit of work. It was actually just something I was toying with at work, I was bored and started scribbling when a mate of mine looked across and snatched the piece of paper from me. After he read it he said “Why don’t you take the idea and a try to build on it.”
The story you just read took something like two hours to create, so yeah it is very basic and really does need to be looked at. I’d be happy to re-post it once the final piece is finished.
I might just take up some of your ideas and see what fits best.

As far as the horror genre is concerned, I actually normally try my hand at modern war fiction but I find it takes a lot of research and you have to think of a plausable idea…whereas horror is just using yur imagination. 🙂

    I wanna have a go! Ok, ok…

For the anti-drugs role we’d stick with the AT-33’s, don’t really need anything more sophistimacatied 🙂 . Any Bolivian gunships still airworthy or that can be potentially made airworthy I would send off to be re-furbed. These would be UH-1H’s I assume. These would then be dedicated anti-drug aircraft, carrying out riads on drug fields.

For fighters, realistically I’d be approaching Honduras to make an offer on it’s fleet of F-5E’s and maybe Saudi Arabia for the same aircraft which I believe are up for sale. These would, of course be refurbed if needed, and if budget allowed.

Transports, approach Honduras again for a pair of grounded C-130 and refurb them. Also approach Brazil for the same aircraft, c who would make the best offer.

It’s nothing fancy, but’s it’s more viable on the budget than buying F/A-22s!!!
    😮

Looks like a giant bug, first time I ever saw this model was during the movie “Red Dawn”…which included a couple of young very well known actors. The aircraft were painted a horrible all over white, yuckie!!! Oh yeah, and in “Firefox” too.

Outside of the recent VPAF picture, does anyone know of any air arms that still fly the “A” model?

Well since I have a strange feeling that me stating I liked Ashlene from BB brought the idea for this thread on, it’s only fair I have my vote:

Any show with the words “house”, “attic”, “garden” and “changing” included in the title get my vote. I mean come, honestly who gives a damn about someone that we have never met planning to move to Spain???

…..Ashlene, oh Ashlene my love

Not to be drawn into to the America bashing here, but our “friends” from across the pond do seem to be taking the old British approach of “make the world England” from the old colonial days…except it’s more “Make everyone democratic and free…even if they don’t wanna be”

Outside of a fleet of aircraft for logistical support and SAR does Belgium actually need an air force? I mean, it is facing friendly nations on all sides and doesn’t face the threat of invasion so why does ot need a fighter force?

Oh tell me about it, I’ve starting growing grey hair with the amount of stress that near misses between coffee and the cpu have had thanks to my little ball of fur. Oh, and I think my cat takes the term “mouse” a little too literally

I wouldn’t bother equipping a navy, just like I would have no air force as such. My air defence would be handled by SAM’s with swarms of armed Predator UAV’s for ground attack…they may get shot down but at least none of my men will die. My coastal waters would be protected by concealed shore based long and medium range SSM’s with coastal artillery for close range defense. Boring I know but I think thats a better chance and more economical than buying bug carriers and destroyers that cost millions to buy/maintain and run the risk of costing hundreds of lives  . Oh, and I’d make a deal with the biggest and baddest nation in the region to pretect my shipping lanes in exchange for access to resources and such. 🙂

Anybody think this would work? Or is my nation doomed :dev2:

Oh no Curahee u didn’t post any images AFM published, the report was about a Su-25UB of the Georgian AF…I simply noticed the Turkmen roundel that was on the reporters ride. I’m gonna assume this was a new build Skorpion for the Turkmen AF that was awaiting delivery from Tblisi. I just found it odd that the reported didn’t think to photograph his aircraft once he got out or before he got in, would have been nice.

Those Turkmen Su-25 shots are cool 😎

By the way, did u know an AFM reporter got a ride in a Turkmen Su-25 when he went to take air-to-air shots of a new Georgian Su-25UB? If u look at page 46 of the February ’06 issue u will a shot of the reporters aircrafts wing, with a nice Turkmen roundel on far side!
U know he didn’t even think to mention it, never mind photograph it!

Well aparently this PAK-FA thing is meant to have its first flight next year with the first examples being delivered by 2010, seems rather optimistic though. The Su-27 is gonna be around for a long time in upgraded versions, I don’t think PAK-FA will replace it one for one either. By 2015 we are probably gonna see the MiG-29SMT and Su-27SM’s as the backbone of the fighter fleet along with the MiG-31 upgrades while the PAK-FA will probably have been issued to one or two squadrons at the most and probably flying from that airfield the Russians use to test and develop tactics for new weapons systems.

Don’t know what all the fuss is about, the Flanker can still handle itself 😎

I really do hope the computer images of the PAK-FA looking like the F/A-22 is just spectulation cos it looks like crud!!!
