MPs have privately said they want a pay rise, with the majority calling for a 32% increase that would take their annual salary to £86,250.
The survey carried out by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) also found more than a third believe they should keep generous final-salary pensions.

If an employer came to me to fill in a survey anonymously, I’d say I would want a pay-rise too. If my pension was final-salary, I’d like to keep that too.
Have you contacted BA?

The A320 flies about with composite primary structure and isn’t parked after 20,000 cycles.
I fail to see the relevance of the failure mode depicted in the video to the B787?
Egg. Face. SAEN. 😀
Do these protesters have any shred of credibility left? It would seem that the demand is there.
The Dreamliner witch hunt has begun.
It does read as very alarming, but as Bmused55 points out it is different components failing. It could very well be they fix one item, which moves to the next weakest link.
It goes without saying that all aircraft experience teething difficulties, but I seriously hope the B787 doesn’t continue teething.
It seems that allowing marketing to hype up these projects during design has allowed any failures to be magnified to the public.
Fix it Boeing, the B787 has grown on me. 😮
Stunning light make for stunning photos. Well Done!
Damn that nasty airport!
It is good to hear that the project has been progressing, but I was wondering if you had any more information? :diablo:
Is KLM interested in the F90/F120? I am surprised by the interest of Qantas. Was Avianca not a big user of the F100?
The C Series is expected to fly June 2013, with deliveries at the end of 2013. I wonder what the incentive for airlines are to wait longer for something – presumably – that isn’t going to better a clean-sheet design.
All we need now is for BAE Systems to re-engine the Avro RJ. 😀
Matthias, I also have to add my thanks.
I love the insight into the engineering that goes on to keep those aircraft airworthy, please keep posting into 2013!
I’d prefer them to offer onboard WiFi rather than IFE.
Nice. You’ve gone from careful consideration of all parties and candidates, to ruling out 3, and one in particular because your from the north.
Yep, as CD pointed out. We’re stuck with a government the country wants.
