And yet, on the very same page there is a thread that discusses this very topic. 😉
Happy Birthday, what is it, 40 now? 😀
Vega ECM – you might find your answer in this thread on Airliners.net
I thought the 757 was able to land at MTOW?
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you have to. :diablo:
Many aircraft can drop part of the gear as a speed brake, but I’ve only known it as the mains only, not the nose only
As CKing says – the B757 – “cannot deploy the gear in parts, it’s either all up or all down!”, well by the flight crew. 🙂
Boeing Co. said Tuesday that its engineering and safety experts were caught off guard by the recent rupture of the fuselage of a Southwest Airlines Co. jet, which exposed a miscalculation in the aircraft maker’s formula for assuring the safety of the plane.
Incidentally, how many bodies does it take to raise water by one degree?

If only it were a real DC-8 😀
Just read this thread on Airliners.net. It would seem to support what Skymonster and Interflug62M have long been saying; if the translation is correct.
Didn’t think it deserved a thread of its own.
Perhaps someone with more knowledge could elaborate; does the effects of the camera not exaggerate the closeness of the aircraft. Awesome all the same.
I’ll propably get flamed for this, but I think it looks awkward on an A320.
I agree, it does look awkward but still a refreshing change. It would of looked quite striking on the 737 as you say. I think its the rather blunt front end of the A320 that doesn’t suit the curves of the colourscheme.
On a similar note, I think the new United/Continental suits the A320 series more than it suits the the B737 for some reason.
