nJayM, am I missing something?
Thanks for the link CKing. The guy didn’t seem to knowledgable, I thought the guy to the right that was actually doing the inspection of the aircraft was going to talk, instead of standing like an idiot to the side. Oh well.
I was looking at the NTSB video last night which featured the part which they removed from the aircraft. It looks a very similar similar failure to what happened previously to a Southwest B737 and the American Airlines B757; that is failure at the transition to the doubler of the skin. Will be interesting to see the SB Boeing put out on this.
I personally don’t think 2,400hrs is enough time to take a command position. I also think that the promotion is more likely to be because their is a much greater need to captains on the ATRs due to pilots jumping onto larger types than that she is a talented one-in-a-million-type pilot.

Is he right? With so many political pressures being placed on investigations, do they ever really give us the truth about why a plane crashes?
I put the question to Doug Herlihy, who offered this chilling response:
“Likely we do in some… but in many of the high profile accidents we certainly don’t find out.“
I have often wandered whether we will find out the true cause of the AF447 crash. France in particular have such a vested interest. I wonder if they will pin it on the AOA Sensor manufacturer?
BA offered changes to their entire workforce. Everyone else saw sense and accepted. But not the Cabin Crew.
Not quite sure that’s how it went, but it was the end result.
Excellent variety and quality. Well Done!
Ironic he was limited to 56. Just like his trucks.
Moggy
I know it was wrong to laugh at that, I feel bad.

Cracking shots. I still really like that Cimber Stirling scheme, classy.
Yawn… same old prejudices….’more reputable airlines’?
And yet they are villified in some quarters… unlike ‘more reputable airlines’.
Since your post seems directed at my comment, I’d like to reiterate; people can choose to fly Ryanair.
Obviously they work for you, for others – like me – they don’t.
Regardless, people can/will choose whether to fly with Ryanair, or a more reputable airline.
That almost sounded like a perfectly logical conclusion. :p
The tail colour is a different shade. Wonder why the other aircraft with winglets in the fleet dont get the TUI logo on the winglets ?
The Thomson tail has always been a different shade to the fuselage. I think the white is supposed to represent sand/beach, the darker blue of the fuselage the seas and the lighter blue of the tail the sky. Could be wrong. 😀
In my mind the orgainsers should be then responsible for cleaning up and paying for the damage, and certainly paying for the massive policing of these events.
In my mind, the people responsible to cleaning up and paying for the damage should be the people who caused the damage, no?
