I chuckle everytime some says ‘we must provide apprenticships’.

Who’s gong to pay for them? Industry won’t.

Surely this is where the government should be able to step-in and provide more incentives for businesses to take on apprentices. I would imagine it being cheaper longer term to invest in someone getting a trade, than some leeching of the state and contributing little – except offspring.

Lufthansa has a huge engineering and logistics side to it’s business. It is far less of a problem for them to support multiple fleet types that other small/large airlines would not.

You can have LHT look after your B777, and they don’t even – directly – operate the type. 🙂

I don’t see this order for the A320NEO ruling out any future acquisition of a new Boeing narrow-body.

Crikey… that Condor landing was a bit of a thump wasn’t it?!

If you look closely you’ll see the fuselage flex 😮

Never going to re-engine the 737? Quite incorrect.

Sorry, that was my opinion – not meant as fact. 😮

No bother for the Landy 😀

I don’t think people properly appreciate braking distances. I find it rather scary that have left a nice distance between me and a car in front, an idiot drives close behind. Yes, I’ll stop before the car in front but they’ll come crashing into the back of me. 😡

Daughter invited me to Wolverhampton for a couple of nights so we can go to the Christmas market in Birmingham.
I can’t sleep on her floor because her student house is freezing and far too cold for an old girl.
Hmmm, this is going to cost me ….. but I get to see her hamster too.Just as well it’s got long fur if it’s that cold where she lives.

She never offered you her bed? 😮

It would seem that QANTAS has suffered an economic impact from this incident.

In the short-term yes, RR may feel this much much longer. 🙁

If I have the paid my fare it is my right (and the operators duty) to fly me where I want to go. If there are problems along the way, it is reasonable to expect solutions to be found which permit the journey to continue.

Is that not what Ryanair did?

Nice shots. Worth it for the Fly Dubai. What on earth was that doing in Glasgow ?

On a delivery flight from Boeing?

I can’t think of a situation where being “very aggressive, very rude” would get you very far.

Perhaps Ryanair should charge the people for the cost involved with delaying the aircraft/staff. The again…
