I know before anyone starts they own it so they can do what they wan’t thread

They don’t own it they just help to keep it flying, so they could paint it pink IMO as long as we get to see it flying
Hey Sparky,

The Black Widow is No longer on outside display. The rumor is that its either been put away for safe keeping or that someone from the States has bought it.
As long as it gets preserved, to flying condition preferably who cares which country it goes to

Sadly it was a huge ball of flames when Vampire crashed then thick black smoke.

    Duxfordhawk
It may be my interpritation of the quote, but when it is said it crashed in a ball of flames it suggests to others that the aircraft was in flames on the way down, I grant you it exploded on impact, I know because I was unfortunate along with hundreds of others to witness it, I was also appalled at the time at people getting straight on their mobiles and telling friends excitedly that they had just see the crash, as if it was like some scene out of a film, and also the radio inteviewed a twelve year old kid who said that he had seen the two aircraft hit each other miss quotes and speculation don’t help anyone.

Somehow I think that all of this is to have a slimmer UK Armed Forces so that we can marry up with some/all of the European Forces,

Does this mean we are going to join forces with the French on another Maginot line maybe

It was an absolute pleasure to meet George on Sunday and it was great to see him talking over his memories.
I stood with Steve and James looking on as Mark photographed George in front of the Hurricane with the re-enactment guy and at the same time there was a young lad about maybe seven or eight wearing one of their flying helmets having his picture taken and I think it was a close run thing as to who was the most youthful in that moment.

If a moment like that sparks interest in the young or bring back youthful memories in the old then as its been said before this is what makes Legends worth while.

And all thanks go to Mark it was a privilege.

Also thanks go to Joe for his talk on the P-39

BTW Steve, James, Mark, (and Dad) nice to meet you glad you had a great day
