No problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get any pics? The flying Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was very amusing. The rather long ladder up the tree to rescue a distraught model aircraft was funny from a distance, though probably not for those involved. I hope the recovery was successful.
I understand that John Fairey was displaying one of the Piston Provosts. Would you happen to know if that is THE John Fairey of F.D.2 fame?
Janie
YES….it is THE John Fairey of Fairey Aviation fame(among others the FD2,Swordfish,Firefly,Rotodyne and Flycatcher…JF built and flew the replica Flycatcher currently at FAA Museum,Yeovilton)

Cheers, ordered my copy on that sunny ???????? very wet day at Duxford. I was standing in the Upper Barracas gardens when the pair came in over grand harbourd last September so another couple of weeks/months wont make any difference.
All i can say is that if you were not there you missed one of the best airshow/flypast moments that i have ever seen and i have been attending shows since ’78. If you werent there, buy this dvd.
…..also ordered my copy at Duxford and if it’s half as good as Clive’s talk on the adventure it’ll be worth waiting for
regards to all the team

The Lancaster has an unserviceable tailwheel shimmy damper and it will be hopefully fixed tommorrow and flown home. The engine checks are part of the standard shut down procedure and are termed “Mag Drop Checks” to check the functionality of each of the engines magnetos. The Mag Drops are also done before take off …..
I was lucky enough to be enjoying my final flight on her yesterday, Fantastic!

For the record they were T9 G-CCCA/IAC 161 & Mk 18 G-BUOS/SM845.
The Lanc did arrive at Southend mid/late afternoon with a Spit & Hurri….on parking-up,she went through some kind of engine checks only to shut down and be declared tech(still there when I left 1730hrs yesterday). The fighters later displayed over the seafront but departed back to Coningsby

believe they’re not operating this weekend as Airport/show organiser couldn’t/wouldn’t pay for fuel for taxi-run…….
As August event is their own, they’ll be financing it themselves.
Got this from VRT stall at Duxford last weekend 😉
Joe/Damien
XL426 will not be active this weekend, though she will be available for static display.
