Spooky that Yakrider, I have some very similar shots somewhere.
Yep thats the Twin Pin, flown in that too, not as nice as the Prentice, but good fun.
Lets hope that AA open their doors again this year so as we can enjoy some more good value for money flights.

RE: Don’t let him fly it Charlie !!!!!!!!!!!!

I could have sworn that it was Charlie Brown, I’m sure he was there somewhere, not too good at pilots rears !. No not Rougham, Old Warden last summer when they had a Stearman flyin, hence Martin Shaws presence.

    RE: Has it been sold?

I think that she has been sold to an owner in Florida, but i believe that part of the deal was that she would come back to the UK at a later date for one flying season.
Please corect me if thats wrong anyone.

“just a Spitfire polisher”………UMMM nice work if you can get it.

I ‘just’ work as technical support within the marketing office of a very successful high tech medical engineering company, dealing with customer organisation across the globe, but i know which i’d rather do (for the correct salary of course!!!), no , sod it, i’d polish Spitfires for nothing!!.

I hope so, after Breighton sold the ‘pink’ Spitfire i would assume they have some finance to support the Hurricane operation.

Here is one of my shots of the Duxford ‘Storch’, note the difference with the radial fitted rather than the original Argus AS 103C.

    Halibag,
I have to concede that you have a pretty good job of ‘bastardising’ some of my pictures, maybe I’ll have a dabble in PSP7 myself.Perhaps I’ll use some of my shots of that rusting hulk in Hendon as test pic’s.

Ashley being female !, no shock to me , i could tell all along, its the writing style you know. What!!!, you say Bull$**%.

    All in jest.

    RE: Ex AA Daks

I believe Atlantique have owned 11 or 12 daks over the last few years.
I will dig out the pictures from the Coventry 50’s display 2000 to see who elses Dak’s flew with AA ones in the big flypast, probably the Dutch and the South coast one.

If they have their open days back this year its worth going, full tour of the operation and a flight in either Rapide, Dak, Twin pin or Prentice all for £30.00( that was 2000 price)

OK I’ll add some of mine.

“Look I know I’m a woman, but isn’t the engine thingy that you are looking for under there somwhere”

“God damn it , you guys are useless ,I said the torque setting should be 56.5N/mtr with 1 wavey and a pair of belville washers under that auxilliary pump, what! do you think that you are engineers or something?”

“I hope that you are not getting those overalls dirty, I only washed them yesterday”

“Oh sorry, i didn’t mean to startle you, oh well never mind that little part that you dropped will probably fall out of the bottom later”
