    Rabie,
Thats odd ,a .pdf file is one created by Acrobat.
You are using the Acrobat reader? Acrobat5 or maybe 4.
Paint is pretty poor, you really need Photoshop or Paintshop Pro 7 for decent image manipulation.

Yes, i really enjoyed it yesterday, my first visit for about 6 years. Its in a bit of a muddle at the moment as they are trying to make room for new exhibits and the extension of course, nevertheless very enjoyable, especially as its free.Mind you it makes you worry a bit about future funding.

Dont understand that, jpg is a standard format its ,what i use for all of my postings here. The other two file extensions that you mention i dont think are digital image files, sounds more like a mail file.Your best bet is to use Acrobat reader, you should be able to open virtually any file with it, read only format mind, or if you are getting the file on CD then get it as a bmp and convert to whatever you want. A jpeg is merely a compressed file probably converted from a bmp originally, so at least as a bmp you could have decent enough res to print from, then ‘save copy as’ jpg for e-mailing purposes.
    Hope this helps
    Phil.

    RE: A true classic jet…

Hang on a minute, iv’e just noticed that the livery is not as per my picture in the first one, I dont think that this was taken during the same period, unless the top shot was taken during pre-display tests and she was repainted just prior to her short stint in public. In fact I suspect its a diferent aircraft altogether, unless of course she was re-serialed.
    Your thoughts please.

    Phil.

Here’s an airborne picture of the Sea Hawk FGA.6 during her all to brief display career in 1997, hopefully the jetpipe will be repaired soon and she will be put back on the scene.

RE: Is this too close for warbirds ?

Ok i Concede that it was taken with a big lens which as you quite rightly say tend to compress the depth. However if you think where the sun would have been on a mid July day at Duxford then look at the shadow cast by the Wildcat wing onto the Skyraider it infers little separation.
Dont get me wrong i’m not doubting the skill of the pilots involved, nor do i profess to be an expert on air flows between aircraft and where to position yourself in formation. I am just asking whether we feel that formations of mixed ( or otherwise) warbirds is the correct way to do things.

I’ve got all of the rest, its just that early triplane thats beating me at the moment. If you look closely you will note that it has one central engine driving the two props.

What an excellent film that is, John Griegson is ‘Septic’. I think it was shot very shortly after the war, so available aircraft wern’t really a problem.
