    Black Swan

Dark pyschological thriller. Superb performance by Natalie Portman. Liked it much better than I was expecting.

    Disney’s A Christmas Carol

A great version of the classic Charles Dickens tale. Very enjoyable.

Nothing at all excuses what this man did. Even if he was owed £1 or a £1million. It doesn’t matter. What he did was dreadful and there are simply no excuses for it whatsoever.

Since when has owing money invited that sort of treatment? Nobody deserves that sort of physical attack whether they owe money or not.
There is one person to blame for this attack and one person only.

Judging by his skill and appearances in other media, I’m not sure that not doing well at school, assuming he didn’t of course, has done him any harm at all.

    Season of the Witch

Dark miserable looking film about two crusaders who are to take a witch for trial in Medieval Europe. Not particularly scary either. It has Nicholas Cage in it as well which doesn’t help.

    It Happened on 5th Avenue

A feel-good movie from the 1940s. A fable which is just as relevant now as then. Great viewing.

    Night of the Hunter

Robert Mitchum chases two children to get the loot. Brilliant film. Hollywood at its best.

I always liked Greg Lake’s “I Believe in Father Christmas” and the Pretenders “2000 miles”.

We have a fairly large vinyl collection that we have no intention of getting rid of but what we did find was that the LPs need to be in pretty much mint condition to be of any value, especially fairly common titles. It might be worth having a look at GEMM or Vinyl Tap to see what sort of prices dealers are selling them for.

    Hear Hear !

Compliments of the season and goodwill to all men.

Especially those suffering from or threatened by UB40’S.

Absolutely. I never liked their brand of Pseudo-reggae at all (except Red Red Wine which was OK)
