DTJJ, tks to remember me that i forgot to include VF-211 on the list that i have included above, another one to convert to F model.
“awee the jolly rogers arent the same without those thick x-section swing wings and the 2D intakes of a F-14”
Agree 100% 😡
At least an Iraqi Mig-25 shot down a USN F/A-18C Hornet in the first Gulf War
It is schedule to start conversion this year, unfortunately 😡
“first it will replace the Jaguar (the last 15-20 will be withdrawn by 2005), then the others, Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000 B/C. The Mirage 2000 N/D and Mirage 2000-5 will be still here for a long time (it is planned to equip the -5f with MIDS-links16, MICA IR etc. I don’t know if they will really do that, though, it seems all the money go to the Rafale.)”
What happen with the Recce version of the Mirage F.1. They have been retired or there are plans to maintain operational. Rafale will assume the recce role alongside the Mirage IV?
Regards,
Yes, is in an exercise around Alaska.
DeepSpace, could be only a fly-by or an aborted trap
Old, not so modern, but good looking
“You are right, buddy.. I always have problems to distinguish these two.. Sorry.”
That´s fine, from now on, for you, this is not a problem anymore:)
Regards,
A good view of the Skyhawk practising touch and go on the RR
Foch is no longer in service with the French Navy (sold to Brazil in 2000), Rafale in Navy service is fully operational (pilots coming from jet training are converting into it, before only very experienced crews are allowed to fly it).
In French AF the deliveries of the Rafale were delayed and first the intention is to replace the Jaguar and then move to the Mirage 2000 fleet, starting with the C model and dash5

I´m not mad just writing correctly.

Adelphi (Rodrigo), very nice photos, you are a lucky man, in the right place at the right time. VFA-14 and VFA-41 came to Brazil once before when were operating F-14A Tomcats (VF-14 and VF-41). They came here in the 80´s. On the book Tomcats at NAS Oceana, on the chapter related to squadrons, shows a pic of an F-14 from VF-14 flying low above a Christ statue somewhere countryside.
Regards,
Hi Camaro, i´d like to have thsi video, if you can send me i´ll appreciate.
The video from FAP is very nice, the sequence of the Mig29s and Mirage 2000 worth the download.
