Great photos. These are stiring the grey matter in the back of my head.

Great pic, thanks for sharing.
I went in January 2011 and would recommend the museum to anyone. The museum was just fantastic.
Quite frankly I think its a disgusting waste of tax payers money when the military is supposed to be hard up and facing further cuts to make savings.
We might stand a chance if we could see the photo!

I understand your view entirely. I should imagine the aircraft which was chosen had the least life left and probably due a major that would not be cost efective with the draw down of the K fleet.
We should be grateful that the been counters have allowed one to be preserved rather than sold for scrap. Lets hope a Mk1 makes it to Duxford.
Perhaps some more will be preserved at their former base in Wiltshire when the Defence College of Technical Training stands up there in 2013.
XV202 brings back some memories – I have almost 125 hours of viewing the inside of my eye lids on this baby. Only one trip across the atlantic in her but many going east! Oh and RIAT 1989.

I guess you read the same DIN as me!
Fantastic!
Many Thanks

Ah a chocolate lorry in Norway Bardufoss perhaps? Looks rather out of place in those colours which were more suited to the middle east. I wonder how effective the colour scheme would have been in Afghanistan or Iraq?
Steve
Are there any photos of gliders.
I have photos of Ventures with a dayglo single letter on the rudder and a dayglo single number on the rudder – usually the last number of the aircraft registration.
There is a photo of 657 in its civy reg at the address below.
