Hi all
have a copy slide of this 4-seat Mustang at home which I will scan tonight and post here.
A68-175 CA-18 Mk.23 c/n 1500; Delivered 04/50. Transfered to Tocumwal and stored. Struck off 01/59. Owned by Col Pay at Narromine NSW 1960-65. Transfered to Ed Fleming of Skyservice Aviation at Camden NSW 1965-67. To Canada as CF-WWH 01/05/67 to 1971. By ship to Vancouver and rebuilt as a 4 seater with a CF100 canopy. Registered in the USA as N64824. Was to be registered N5789, but not taken up. It did fly with this un-authorised registration however. The identity was transfered to an ex TNI-AU aircraft and the aircraft rebuild using other airframe parts. Still flown with the markings 413678 and named ‘Million Dollar Baby’. The owner is reported to have said that this new aircraft has no parts from the original A68-175.
Cheers

Hi Steve
the second Connie (which the FAA wouldn’t certify for carrying passengers) is in AFAIK also with this Swiss organisation and might be use as spares ship for their flyer. It is planned to keep the Super Connie “Star of Switzerland” operating for 10 years….
Cheers

I happen to own an Danish book about Allied aircraft & aircrew that came down over Denmark during WW II.
Can you give me a location / region of Denmark where this incident happened ?
I should be able to provide a/c serial / unit / crew then.
Cheers

Did the Me-262 ever encounter the B-17 in the closing stages of WW2 ?
They sure did ! Also Banana Boats (B-24’s) and Widow Makers (B-26).
Many books contain reports of such encounters.

Pilots: Charles E. “Chuck” Yeager and Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson, both 357th FG “Yoxford Boys” and later test-pilots, cracking the sound barrier and tinkering with parasite fighters, etc.; met them last year the weekend after Leg Ends – great chaps -and absolute fun to talk ‘Mustangish’ to.

Hi
nowadays resident in unspectacular NMF finish at the Swiss AF Museum – but it flew in the livery depicted below while being used as test-aircraft. It is Mirage III C J-2201 nicknamed “Blüemli” which is Swiss German dialect for “Little Flower”

Hi folks
just received an e-mail from a Dutch friend:
Dutch Spitfire MK732 flew for the first time since almost two years because of propelor problems. As far as I know its coming to legends, where during that weekend the pilots are going for there display autorisation.
The support aircraft they are bringing is either the Beaver ore the Beech 18.
Best regards
