I prefer the earlier Hunter grip. However, it was found to be difficult to trim in pitch (big button, high stiction etc (not a problem for todays texters!!). Hence the later grip design. I have a Hawker drawing listing the many Hunter mks and applicable many diff Hunter grips.
Mark is the Vulcan expert. I so prefer the Vulcan B2 grip with its chunkier feel!.
With WW2 German grips, what would K10 or R10 mean Steve?
yep, had the F16 grip and thrott from you. I would debate the ‘best Dunlop’ grip – but then again I would, wouldnt I! I would like a new Tonka one too, but it is expensive. I have a GR1 grip and feel it is one of Dunlop’s best.
I picked up my B17 formation stick up from Philly yesterday. Relief to get it safely here!
Not me, as it was too much!
What’s better than 2 Vulcan sticks? 3 Vulcan sticks and so on!!!
Richard H had it a couple of years back
lovely grouping there old chap!
doubt any NOS ones out there! Wasnt for Victors – those VC10 columns were made to be recycled and items/switches changed
Pity about the mod to the gun button, otherwise early…should have dunlop patent appl on top of stock
I honestly thought it would peak at about £100….hey ho! I only wanted the cap!!
Many thanx, good stuff there….but still no closer!
The prices are….ummm…..out of this world….
I bid up to £160 – could not justify anymore…..my VC10 yoke will have to wait another day!
Brilliant stuff. One day I may get over there…..would need sponsorship to bring the Spit!!
Is it me or does that compass tray look wrong on the back edge…
For beginners I would use `A` type aircraft rivets as they are soft enough to use with commercial aluminum .That cockpit door looks aweful.;)
Nope, you are right Ross, it is wrong on the back edge. I have some formers for the compass bowl….might make another one….But lots of work!!!
Is it a transducer? Tacho gen……converting cam shaft speed to an electrical signal for a electrical RPM? Sorry, lost for proper techy words today!
