    My family has been associated with Felixstowe since 1900ish. I can remember the Southampton at Felixstowe Ferry (not Bawdsey – which is the other side of the estuary, Felixstowe ferry goes across to Bawdsey). I checked Seaplanes Felixstowe and found nothing…..I have other books and will check my Grandad’s memoirs. There used to be a scrapyard of flying boats in the town…which my Grandad went playing on. He had an old WW1 aircraft compass which he used on his sailing boat (which now graces my collection).

    i dont think so for following reasons:-

    a. it is not like classic Spit or Hurri
    b. it appears heavy (steel mount?) with a heath robinson mount
    c. the clip arrangement would prove a FOD hazard
    d. there appears to be no gimble (like jet a/c have)
    e. the nut is not captive or loctite

    and f, i have never seen one like it fitted to an aircraft

    Hi all

    Would be grateful if anyone could help in obtaining a copy of the Pilots Notes for the Hunter FGA9.

    This is to assist someone undertaking a schoolprojecton the type

    Cheers Steve that is very helpful and will help me no end, many many thanx. I have the internal paints, it is the external camo etc I require.
    Just to clarify, are the tops of frames 12, 13 mush too?

    was it on the old Smiths/Airfield site? Cannot remember much from when I lived there. A lot of Hurri tailwheels ended up on blanket trolleys at Earlys!

    when I saw her at Oshkosh in 2005 she was outside and looked like she had been for a couple of years
