The fuselage used for the interior filming I am more than convinced was the former Colin Waterworth Casa fuselage. From memory it consisted of a nose section and centre section . I cannot think of any reason why they would bring the fuselage over here apart from to use her for filming.
The East Kirkby nose section is made from steel tube and I believe was used for explosve charge sequences. It has recently been in New Zealand for some more film work.

Indeed Colins had the panels removeable for interior shooting!

I need someone to confirm this.. but, I thought the nose section spent some time at the South Yorkshire Aviation Museum when it was at Firbeck in the late 80’s. It was being restored. I have some pictures of it somewhere…

Colin Waterworth had the nose section and original rear fuz of one that was at Firbeck, he also had a nose only that is at East Kirby now.
Looking at the photo of that one, I would say it is identical to the BoB film crashed one, which always looked too real to me to be a replica anyway. They did build a false nose (which is at East Kirby) which I believe is used for the flash shots seen in the film.

I wrote loads of letters to Jack Straw (when Shadow Home sec) at the time of the Cullen Inquiry.

He seemed to favour my then (silly suggestion!!) of a deact register!!! I shall dig them out.
I believed that the selling of deacts would be banned?! Incidentally, I believe that there are no cases of reactivated deact guns….

All part of the show, he immediately drops the aileron and the show commentator pretends he is out of control…well cool! Uses the dihedral affect with rudder to great effect (oh dear the grammar police will probably come down on me now!!) 🙂

We have a seat that is probably British, bakelite manufacture and contains the following numbers on a small data plate located at the front. Serial 9502-Part No A.S.2142- Issue 2. The seat is red in colour and at first look we thouht it was out of a Spitfire yet it does not match any Spitfire seat pictures we have. The metal hardware that is attached to the seat also has part numbers that start with the letters A.S It is thought by some locals to be a seat from a Fairey Firefly. Any seat experts that have an opinion?

Sounds like a Firefly to me! Similar seat fitted to Piston Provost. The Shearwater firefly has one like this
