Welcome old chap. But tis indeed a feisty first post. Keldrup123, you wont be the first person to make the error that all aircraft in museums have the correct grip or other equipment fitted!

The F4 learned an important lesson with the B8 grip (learned by various other countries). You could get a nice leg wound during ejection that was down to the wrist rest. Sure, very early F4s might have had the rest but it soon went. Incidentally, Russian 3rd generation jets often had a hinged wrist rest.

On this forum, we are all happy to learn new things from those who expand our knowledge. Similiarly, we are not hasty to rubbish the views of people who may be wrong.

Lovely early B17 yoke Swifter! Also, lovely Cat yoke FlyBuy!. The difference between the two Cat yokes is that the top strut is hacksawed off. The attached photos show mine. One is original (the top strut did cause load patch issues if lent on) and is snapped. The other two are fine and come from G-BLSC.
Regarding the Anson I yoke from Germany with the gun button. Very nice and a good price. The gun button and knurled part are the same as classic Spit/Hurri grips in size, but they are housed in a special housing made to fit around the column for the Anson. All made by Dunlop.

A few months ago I acquired a Greek grip supposed to be off a Corsair. The chap said it had a plate dedicating it to the pilot. However, I have had an F86 one before and the plate actually describes how to eject. Now, I cannot find any pix of a grip with such a plate in an A7, nor an F86. But the age of the buttons etc seems to suggest an older grip. So I think this is an F86 grip – but would love to see one fitted to a Greek F86. It has the additional split pin safety on a chain too. Something seen on RAF fighters on QRA when based in Germany.
