Sorry Ken, my Hunters and WW2 stuff only are in the BDAC Museum. The projects may well go there one day soon for short periods.
    Glad you enjoyed the Museum.

Red Kites are making a good comeback in several areas of the UK, including my area – Amesbury – Cholderton.

Sadly the number poisoned in Scotland is on the increase though – tragedy. Number is 18 and rising.

Busy day working on Hurricane canopy and kick out door. Lots more work required. Also popped new decal on the Herk yoke. Fitted the proper Spit fuse box (found last weekend) with the ‘services’ engraved.

Sounds great Peter. I think I will go with your combo. sounds more likely to work. I think the bearing needs to be equidistant in the outer bearing. If we finalise details thru email, cheers

    Peter, excellent!
could you please price that for me? I have 20mm outside diameter oilites (they are a bit longer than required) and the posts you made. I am going to send a spitfire part to you this weekend, so could send it back.

Looks like a big F/G model tail wheel. I have one in the collection. They were same size as Me110

Hi Lyffe and thanx for postings….Dogs and Cats are amazing!

Geoff, I asked Peter Grieve not to drill that hole. He will make posts for £7.50 each or £8.50 with that hole drilled. I did not get the other holes drilled as I wish to make sure it fits my canopy holes – if you see what I mean!

My worry is that the original bearing is self aligning/floating – not sure my solution will be ok and not jam.

Thanx chaps…..just thought a collector thread was better to summarise the work. Next week should see some work put into the Hurri cockpit. all takes time and money.

The Anderson shelter will be configured with beds. We have all sorts of bits to put into it. My son is doing Blitz/Battle of Britain next school year – so we will do some living history!

Third, Peter made me a new door handle part for the Hurricane. He also machined canopy posts. I have found a possible solution using a proper made post, oilite bearing and small bearing. The only issue is that the original bearing ‘floated’.

Peter has done excellent, value work for my projects
