and this?
I don’t think I’ll be shelling out 🙂
I’d just like to take this oportunity to wish you all a merry and stress-free Xmas and New Year, and to thank those of you who’ve answered my questions etc. in the brief time I’ve been on this forum. I hope, in turn, that my contributions to this forum have been worthwhile.

Cargomaster,
It’s a Nord 1002 Pingouin II G-ATBG, (ex F-BGVX) currently registered to Thomas Harris. The Nord 1002 was built post-war by Nord on the production line established in early 1942 for construction of the Bf108. Nord continued production post-war with several developments of the ‘108’ and ‘208’

Ant, your wish is my command. This must be the Mustang you’re all thinking of, so Black Knight is right. Sadly, I omitted to note where or when on the back, but I think it’s North Weald.
Pontins holiday camp, Camber sands?
I did find the other thread on this, but there wasn’t anything re the ID of the ‘110’

Sounds interesting. Any of the newer members have any info (en830???)
Geoff.
Sounds very interesting. I shall look forward to further details, if it indeed is made available for purchase.

PhantomII,
I’ve emailed the article to you, with one page per email, otherwise I think the attachments would be too big, even in a compressed folder. Hope that you can read/print it ok.
Geoff.
PhantomII,
AirBritains ‘The Battle file’ is pretty good. There are chapters on -the spec & the various tenders, the Battle & its rivals for the contract, production & development (including a twin-engined Battle), pre-war service, with info on the various sqdns that flew it, The Battle in France, anti-invasion ops after the fall of France, Battles in Iceland, use of the Battle in the UK for training, the Battle in Canada, Australia, South Africa & Rhodesia, Exports, use as a test-bed, preserved Battles, plus a potted history of every Battle, plus some very nice colour profiles, and plenty of good photos (none showing inside of cockpit though). My copy cost me £25.
Our local ATC unit during the war had a twin-cockpit Battle trainer!
