I’m perplexed Anna ..why does getting out from under a warm duvet to go running at some nocturnal hour make you smile???

Steve, you should know by now there is no logic to Anna & what makes her smile…;)
Personally I think if getting out from a nice warm bed to go running makes you smile then I think you need fitting for a one of those special coats that let you hug yourself!:D

The look on that 10 year olds face on BGT when she didn’t get through….
It replaced the scowl I had having to watch it whilst at a friends gaff!

I was senior cadet (Flt Sgt) at the DF we set up and on our first ever enrollment night we had the wing padre.
Imagine if you can we are all stood in the classroom we used at the time, the parents of the enrollees are all gathered at the back of the room and myself and the three other cadets that transferred over with me are stood against the walls.
The padre is giving he spiel about what a great institution the Air Cadet was and I was only slightly listening when I heard him say…
“When I look around this room, I see years of experience to guide these new cadets. How many years do you reckon there are in this room Flight Sargeant?”
Panic! “Erm… Oh God knows…” was my reply and without missing a beat the padre replied as my hand shot to my mouth…
“I’m sure he does”
The room errupted with laughter and I wished the floor would swallow me up….

As Arm-waver for the Moth contingency it seemed to go quite well.
The Hornet Moth arrival was interesting deciding to go for a quick spin on the ground.

The 100ARW were really helpful in letting the Moths take off from the taxi-way into wind. Being that close for the take offs, in someways for me, brought a feeling of what the old events such as the air-race were like.

Been a good month Arm-Waving. C-17 at Abingdon and now on RAF Mildenhall…

I believe that the Moths attendance is very much weather dependant and believe a call will be made today on that side.

I know some of what will be there but rather not say at all as not sure if it is public but should be a nice little gathering – weather permitting.
