And according to these supposed lifelike computer images it’ll be dark in there too…
I think it is great that these significant machines are moved in doors and given shelter from our weather but like kodak I like to be acle to walk around and appreciate them individually not all squidged in all over each other.

have seen Mr Parker’s talk on Amy Johnson which was also good,
you wouldn’t be able to pass his details to me would you ol’ chap,so I can try to entice him to visit good ol’ Didcot for an Oxfordshire Aviation Group meeting

Saw a talk by Chris Parker on the history of Sywell and the crash was featured in that and he said then it was still around… I was amazed but I look forward to the day she returns…
Cracking talk if you ever get thte chance to see it do so – most enjoyable hour or so and he only covered up to about 1945…

The Freighter did indeed crash at Enstone (whilst registered C-FCFC) The wings, props and engines are still there. The cockpit I seem to recall hearing/reading is held by someone local.
The Vintage Pair crashed at Mildenhall (’86?) and the single remaining meteor at Coventry (’87?).
The Varsity in ripple could be WL679 which is at Cosford. The Phantom could be the one at Boscombe’s museum.

I have a picture somewhere of the Navy schemed Chippie air racing…
Just an aside – the Silver Wellesbourne chippie when being paint stripped at EGBT was found to still have the RAF red/white/grey scheme under the yellow…

Wasn’t their some talk of someone wanting to build a flyable one a year or two back but was scuppered as the CAA said no IIRC – something to do with mixed materials as wooden wings and metal fuselage or something…
I’d love to see one or two and especially a flying one but who knows eh?
