I Was A Male War Bride classic b&w comedy from many a moon ago. Gentle watching. – on More 4 today.

Spitfires ‘somewhere in Germany’. ….

I think this image and a number of others of such images apear in a PSL book “In Enemy Hands” IIRC.

EDIT:
The book also features the recovery of Tuck’s Spitfire IIRC but could be wrong as not looked at the book for ages.

I seem to remember seeing a ‘Luton Major’ in the early seventies which was a widened Minor, still open cockpit but side by side seating. It was just a scaled up Minor and not tandem like your photos.
Now what could that have been?
