    Stormbird:
I’ve found the fate of the Rapide. SHe was written off in a crash near RAF Fraserburgh on 13 December 1942.
None of the Tiger Moths survive.
    Hope that helped.

    In answer to your question…
    Offer them to museums/restoration projects?

Some people enjoy old manuals & tools you know.

    Adding to Grey Area’s post:

    G-ABTB DH82A Tiger Moth (s/n 3101) No current trace with CAA. Sold as PH-AJO 12/1933, Restored to G-ABTB 4/1935. Impressed as BD153 08/08/1940.

G-AEZC DH82A Tiger Moth (s/n 3624) No current trace with CAA. Impressed as BD152 08/08/1940.

Not a huge step forward I’m afraid but it is a starting point. I maybe able to find out the fate of the Rapide but not for a few days.

That flying wing with the swastica’s on the upper surfaces, looks amazing; where is that located, (if it still exists)?

It is one of the Horton wings that are in the states and stored for one of the large national museums.

The Bucket List – really enjoyed this one. Makes you think at times.
The Kingdom – Half way through. Not too bad so far but not as good as I thought it’d be.

There were some pens at RAF Croughton (and still extant) visible via google earth & I guess you could work out the size from there but they may not be the exact type you want.

IIRC the chap with connection to the fuselage has dealings with Air Britain – I think I’ve spoken to him in the distant past but that is all I can recall.

Thanks indeed for posting these shots.
As has been said, so nice to see some personal as opposed to production shots.
    Thanks again.

    In no real order:
    HP.42
    Shorts L.17 Scylla
    Supermarine Sea Lion
    Heston Phoenix
    TSR-2
    Hawker Typhoon
    Sopwith Camel
    Westland Whirlwind (rotary)
    Westland Wessex (fixed wing)
    Westland Wessex (rotary)
    Blackburn Buccaneer
    That’ll do for now.
