Upper Heyford’s “modern” tower is still extant but I believe the WWII one is gone.
Errrm…what the hell is that last thing, looks like it came out of a cereal box 😀 :p
Nice shots like the last Ryanair one 🙂
It is a Rutan Long-Ez. A glass fibre constructed homebuilt…
…….I fancied Pierrepont, having read his biography many years ago, but madam didn’t fancy it at all and I can’t blame her, has anyone else seen this film and can I have the comments please, the casting of Timothy Spall as the dreaded Hangman seemed quite something, will have to sit upstairs and watch it on my own, me thinks.
Oddly enough I’ve just finished reading the Rochdale Hangman, John Ellis.

I can’t get/stand the bloke either.
Scruffy oik to boot.
Who in their right mind makes comments about envelopes containing pictures of HMQE II’s naked lower regions and the fact that you’d look…?
Utterly tasteless, derogotory and unnecessary.
I only caught that bit when channel hopping. He is a major reason I didn’t watch it last night.

Wallace & Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit
I decided to watch this again for the 4-5th time I suppose it is, anyway, the film covers the run up to a large vegetable show that is ultimately being threatened by were-rabbit. Our heros are employed to guard the produce on the run-up from normal rabbits and pests but soon the were-rabbit strilkes…
A brillliant film and the more I’ve seen it the more I catch the smaller things that Aardman have added often in the background.
Cracking and if not you can “Kiss my artichokes”:D

These are valid points but with many of the smaller shows, Abbo included, they do have to struggle to get the punters through the gate and cover the ever increasing (often ludicrously) costs and in Abbo’s case raise some monies for a worthy cause.
Before days of t’internet I seem to recall lists of expected acts appearing int the aviation press so pre-event listing is nothing new.
Just quicker
I’ve bought my Mother-in-law a prepaid funeral
How nice for her that you care so much….:diablo:

Not sure what my worse gift received was. Getting the elderly rellies something is a challenge. I got my Gt Grandma one of those dancing flower things when she was 93. She loved it becuase all her really young relatives used to smile, laugh and dance along to it – it gave her so much pleasure… I also brought her an inflatable crocodile soap dish – another winner!!!!

Probably not.
Mind you, I’d like to watch the original Star Wars film in its original form again but all you can get is the digitally remastered/rejigged version…
