It annoys me how much this place here (where I work) doesn’t really recycle. The amount of crud this place generates is incredible. Also if something is old/unwanted e.g. furniture or electrical goods it is straight in the skip. No attempt to sell it off or recycle it in some way.
They don’t seem to care one jot.
Some years back, I remember a series shown on Channel four abouut classic aeroplanes. It was narrated by the late great John Peel. One I remember in particular was about the Viscount. I remember they interviewed a bloke who had a Viscount cockpit in his garden. Anyone else a- remember what the series was called, b-know what Viscount it was or c-what ever happened to it?
Jamie
I think the viscount you are refering to is the one at Skysport. The ex-Perth one as mentioned above.
It was still there when I flew over their strip last year…
Another point to consider is that yes, the public may recycle but when collected it often all ends up in the same landfill site anyway.
I saw that in one of the Sundays the other week. Shocking really.
We don’t have to sort our recycling. It all goes in one bin. They don’t collect garden waste as recyclable at mine.
Mum & Dad’s recycling collection is done weekly but is split into alternate weeks – paper, card & plastic one week, glass and plastic the next. They also have a garden waste bin.

It’s just that we never seem to hear if French troops or German troops or any other troops die. That’s what got me wondering.
I think it could be because as a whole the UK public don’t care about other nation’s losses only our own. It just isn’t “news-worthy” enough for UK TV.

Don’t heckle me, but I’m STILL not that keen on Saving Private Ryan. I just can’t put my finger on the “why”, though!
I liked until the very end when they are stood at the graveside and salute the grave. An understandable gesture but just ruined it all for me.

I recycle.
We are provided with recycling bins which means we have to. We recycle paper, card, plastic, cans…
They don’t go glass collection from the door – that is a bottle bin job which is fine as the kids love doing that.
There is an act of parliament that says you have to use the bins otherwise GBP1000 fine. (No poundsign on this keyboard)
Even if by choice I would.

Someone mentioned that the bae146 (ZE700) that departed Coltishall before the last Jaguars was ex Queens flight as it had the badge on it. Can anyone confirm that?
Ollie.
The BAe146’s are part of No.32 (The Royal) Squadron RAF.
The Queen’s Flight per sey ceased to exist when this squadron was formed.
Gary
The Helicopter Museum have the Whirlwind (as previously mentioned) and a Wessex. The other Wessex is at Hendon IIRC.
Nice marshalling – right in front of the intakes…. He’s more orange than me!!!
Lovely shots there lince.
The Pacifier.
Liked the trailers ages ago when it came out and we got the DVD the other day. Enjoyable fun with little thinking involved.
