Waking up at 6 am with the migraine from hell, closely followed by a text message from Cruella advising that as it was cold and snowing, she could drop by with a hat, scarf and gloves for our daughter……
Hello, excuse me poppet, have now been looking after the kids for over 2 years, I feed them, clothe them, and even let them have warm clothes in the winter and cooler clothes in the summer, and a mixture in the spring and autumn…..
the bourne legacy
Its Ok, it crosses over plot lines and timelines with the earlier three movies. It also throws you a curve ball with some drug dependency that the Treadstone agents have that I don’t recall from the first 3, its better than it deserves to be, and there is maybe one more film there to squeeze out of the story line.

about 15 miles from here…..
Thats people Scott, well, some of them anyway…..
14 years ago now, I had a burst appendix. I didn’t know it had gone, seemed it “popped” and was slowly filling me with bits of goo and it burned a hole in my bowel so I was not a well man, slowly being filled what was leaking through my bowel.
I passed out at work in the gents toilet, I had a temperature and was fading in and out. A visitor to work found me, and went off to raise the alarm and find a first aider. While still laid out and in truth, fading in an out. Somebody else came in, they asked me if I was Ok (laid out on the floor….) I mentioned that somebody had gone for help. So, he then stepped over me:eek:, unzipped, did what he went in there to do, then stepped back over me and left without washing his hands but he did wish me well.
People…… I dispair at some of them…. some of us ?

We don’t see enough quality like this on the model board, it seems rarely used, that Barracuda looks excellent, thanks for sharing, please keep them coming.
As you’re probably already aware the Lysander kit is a re-issue of the old Matchbox kit,
.
I remember making the old matchbox kit and using a black rattle can as I didn’t own (at that time) an air brush. I left a perfect outline of a Lysander wing shape on my bedroom floor much to the chagrin of my parents !
Those Matchbox 1/32 kits were brilliant (Sea Venom, Lysander, MK-24 Spit, BF-109E, SBD..) random collection but I loved them.
Tiger Moth as well IIRC ?
This was truely sad, Thunderbirds and later Space 1999 were a part of my childhood that I remember fondly. I think that Gerry Anderson never got the recognition he deserved for the technical skill in his shows (look at Space 1999 now, the models and effects stand up well…)
Thunderbirds had a genuine charm, I don’t think anybody ever died did they ? and the four people trapped would always fit in the Mole (coolest thing ever) or the special basket that Brains made. Captain Scarlet was quite dark, but still excellent, less childlike (if you look, the Thunderbird puppet heads are oversized for the bodies like childrens, in Scarlet they are scaled to “adult size).
And again, shame on Hollywood for the awful Thunderbirds film…..
RIP Mr Anderson.

I now think it may be the engine out of the restoration plane at Personal Plane Services which was part of the airframe while they rebuilt the cowlings etc. It seems to have the same prop shaft guard with same scratches on it. So it was possibly his own engine being relocated to US for a workshop rebuild and not a new “other” engine. I also believe he did purchase the green engine.
Now you tell me that is not a thing of beauty……. to see and hear that at an airshow….. (heavy sigh….)
after all the **** at work I was really looking forward to the week-end. and in truth, so far, its been really nice.
But, finding a discarded cigarette end on my parents grave really got me swearing….. then opening a bag of laundry, whenever Cruella drops the kids off she brings whatever clothes they had on when I drop them at hers, dirty, in a bag for me to wash. I used to wash and iron stuff and send it back…. until now.
Our daugher was a little poorly, had an “accident” in her PJ’s, she told me as she said they will need washing quickly…. she had them in a bag of 3 days !:eek:
But, in the grand scheme of things, my house is dry and above water, my lady is moving in next Spring, and so its easier to cope with the things that make you swear !

I recall reading mid 2013 was targetted/expected for the RAFM example to be complete and ready for display?
The was a “Boston/Havoc” preservation group in the Uk a few years ago with some sizable chunks of airframe, some (and happy to be corrected) were scrapped (I believe? – again, happy to be corrected)
the day of the jackel….
Brilliant still after all these years. An shame on Hollywood for trying to “remake/rebrand/re-image” it….
